BATTLE OF THE PERFORMING ARTIST CONTEST
Registration, Terms and Conditions

Shayaa Bin Abraham-Joseph, born October 22, 1992 in Atlanta, Georgia. He is better known to his fans by his stage name 21 Savage. He was raised by his mother Heather, who is of Dominican descent, his father who is of Haitian descent, and has four brothers and six sisters, though one siblings passed on early due to unfortunate circumstances. In the seventh grade, Abraham-Joseph was banned permanently from every school in the DeKalb County School District due to legal troubles. He began attending schools around the Atlanta metropolitan area before being sent to a youth detention center. In 2013, on his 21st birthday, Abraham-Joseph was shot six times and his best friend was killed during an attempted robbery. Through all the turmoil during his adolescent days his love for music brought in a new ray of light giving birth to whom we now now as 21 Savage.
He received attention for projects such as Free Guwop and later went on to release his next album in 2015, as well as, Savage Mode.  21 Savage continued to put out hit after hit and his fan base grew larger with every hit released. In 2016, the young artist gained super star status with Metro Boomin.  He went on to release his debut album, Issa Album, in 2017 and the hits just kept coming.  This young performer is best known for his songs "Bank Account" (2017), "X" (2016), and his feature on Post Malone's "Rockstar" (2017), which peaked at number one on the US Billboard Hot 100.

On April 26th 21 Savage opened up for the artist we know as Post Malone in Darien, New York giving his fans a night to remember.  The crowd of fans, young and old, was pleased and cheering in the heat of the spring with temperatures soaring into the 80's.  The heat did not stop the fans from coming out in record numbers just to see him perform.

It is reported that he want to go back to a gangsta style on his next album.  Having collabarated with Post Malone, one of the top selling artists of the year I am sure it will be nothing less than star studded and another heart throbbing hit.

Over the past year Austin Richards, professionally known as Post Malone,  has accomplished a feat that many try to achieve, but fail to reach.  He climbed to number one on the Billboard Hot 100 for solo artist for his song “Rockstar,” that featured  21 Savage.

In addition, he debuted at the number one spot on the Billboard 200 for his record “Beerbongs & Bentleys” and reached certified platinum in the first four days of the release. This platinum music only complimented his previous success with the album, “Stoney” and his debut single, “White Iverson.”
